Teaching Team (Ages 3,4,5)
Teachers are responsible for presenting Bible lessons and overseeing class activities and give overall direction to the room. Don’t worry – we provide the resources and curriculum! Parent interaction and room set-up is also involved in this role.

Assists teacher with classroom activities and helping children participate.

Cuddle, feed, tell stories, play with, pray over, and care for babies and toddlers.

Zone Leader
Our Zone Leaders are in the middle of it all. These leaders sit with, pray for, and love our kids. Join the audience with our kids as we explore God’s word and our monthly virtue.

Assist with video, sound, and lighting during the KidsLife service. No prior experience necessary. We will train you!

Each week a team consisting of a storyteller, worship leader, and host will capture the kids’ attention with their on stage antics. Our stage team members are not just strong stage personalities, but pastors at heart.

Fuse
Engage with 6 7 and 8 graders while creating an energetic atmosphere for middle school students to feel welcome and love God. Volunteers help with registration, greeting and journeying alongside the middle school students of Rockford First.

Parents/adults can play a vital role in our weekly services and annual big events. Weekly opportunities include registration, Backstage concessions and security.

Life Group Central Team
Life Group Central is located in the RF main foyer and serves as a way for people to get connected into life groups. At Life Group Central you will be able to debunk people’s misconceptions about life groups and help them find a group that is just the right fit for them!
We do ask that you are presently involved in a Life Group.

Barista Team
Our Barista Team serves in the coffee shop section of Stuart’s. They pride themselves in a good cup of coffee and an enjoyable experience. No experience is necessary, some training is required.

Our Bookstore Team helps to facilitate finding and purchase the book of your choice. This team helps people purchase their first bible, find a great kid’s book, or serve in anyway related to books.

Parking Lot Team
Our parking lot team is the first people our attenders come in contact with. They are in the parking lot rain or shine making people feel welcomed as well as assisting with parking.

The Greeting Team are some of the first faces people see when entering Rockford First on a Sunday morning! This energetic, welcoming group of people go out of their way to make every person who walks through our doors feel like they are home!

Individuals in the Information Center answer basic questions about the different facets of Rockford First, as well as provide directions and information to those who may need it.

Our Ushers at Rockford First greet people as they enter the Sanctuary, assist with finding available seats, assist in the distribution of materials and publications, as well as collect the offering.

Our Sanctuary Host team serves a major role during our Sunday morning services. Each host is there to help ensure your experience at RF is an enjoyable one. These Host help attendees find available seats, answer various questions, and serve as connection points to develop a deeper connection to Rockford First.

Our security is made up of civilians and current/retired police officers. The security team helps to ensure that Rockford First is a safe place for all who are in attendance. You do not need to be a police officer to serve as this team, as there are spots for unarmed security personnel. Current police officers and those who qualify through the IROCC program can serve as armed security under the strict supervision of Jim Thompkins and the Executive Pastoral Staff.
