Dear Rockford First,
It is with great excitement that we announce the acquisition of the former Hope Reformed Church, located adjacent to our existing church property, at 5770 Spring Creek Road. The 4.6 acres of land, which includes a church facility and separate parsonage house, were generously transferred to Rockford First by the Reformed Church of America for a sale price far below its current value.
Though the specific use for the property is still in the process of being finalized, we believe the following vision is within reach for the future of this asset:
The church building will eventually be remodeled, but will be immediately renamed the ”Rockford First Chapel.“ This venue will be available for weddings, funerals, small gatherings and as an auxiliary service space for the various ministries of Rockford First.
The acreage behind the church building will immediately begin to be used for the growing athletic programs of Christian Life Schools.

The parking lot on the property will be available to be used for much-needed overflow parking for Sundays and other events at Rockford First.

It is our prayer that the existing parsonage will be refurbished and become an extension of Rockford First‘s ”Empower Ministry“ to single parents, with a specific focus on single mothers or women encountering challenging life circumstances.
