Welcome to Champions Club…a new ministry of Rockford First open since October 14th, 2012! Champions Club ministers to and meets the needs of children with special needs and their families. The Champions Club vision included a renovation of over 4,000 sq. ft. of space for children with special needs. The Champions Club facility was designed by experts specifically to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of these wonderful children! Our desire was to provide a fun and safe environment where kids can learn and grow in their knowledge of God, and where families are offered the hope and love found only in God!

Why Champions Club?
There is an entire community of people in Rockford and the surrounding communities that have children with special needs, but most don’t have the ability to come to church. For many of them, it just isn’t feasible to bring their special gifts from God into your typical children’s church or nursery environment.
That’s why we created Champions Club!
We want desperately for children with special needs and their families to be ministered to! It is our vision to create a safe environment, staffed with experts, that children with special needs can participate in while their parents attend church.
There are literally hundreds of families in the community that would love to come to church on a Sunday morning, but they need to first know that their child is being taken care of, that they are in a welcoming and warm and safe environment.
The vision of Champions Club is not just to babysit, but to empower these children with special needs. We want to create an environment and experience that they are going to thrive in on Sundays, spiritually and physically.
We wanted to create a Children’s Ministry that takes care of EVERY SINGLE CHILD, including those with special needs.
What is Champions Club?
The vision of Champions Club is to develop a program that would meet the developmental needs of children with special needs in three important ways, SPIRITUALLY, INTELLECTUALLY and PHYSICALLY.
Our focus is on spiritual growth through God’s Word, ministering to the intellect of each child through their senses and engaging the child physically during spiritual gross motor fun.
With the help of professionals and ministries in the field of special needs, we came up with a plan that would allow each child to be ministered to at their individual level.
Champions Club was designed with four rooms in mind: a Sensory Room, a Spiritual Therapy Room, Educational Room, and a Physical Therapy Room.
